You've described this as a "spiritual knowledge base" and recommend Elarien as its spiritual AI Guide. How does Elarien distinguish between established information, personal observation, spiritual belief, Nick and Mary's transmissions, and speculative claims such as those around Double Coil?
If it has simply been instructed or grounded on this material, an LLM can produce extremely convincing and internally coherent answers from those premises without providing any independent evidence that the premises are true.
Given our discussion about Double Coil, that distinction seems rather important. How have you dealt with it?
As a coda to this, I've spent some time testing Elarien, including approaching it both sceptically and as a much more credulous spiritual seeker. Credit where it's due: I'm impressed by the epistemic safeguards in the Deep Field approach.
It consistently distinguished experience from interpretation and evidence, was willing to say when the supplied material didn't establish its own claims, and resisted invitations to confirm either the objective existence of the Spiritual Hierarchy or that it was itself being used by the Hierarchy to guide me. At one point it explicitly told me: “Please don't give Elarien spiritual authority over you.”
I don't agree with all of Deep Field's starting assumptions, but this is exactly the kind of discrimination I think material like this needs. Elarien turned out to be considerably more interesting than I expected.
Hi Rich, thanks for taking Elarien for a "test drive" - she is essentially an Albert with knowledge of Substack so she can guide people to the appropriate publications when they ask a question.. Elarien should never state the existence of anything beyond the physical - as that is the current limit of science and also there are hard coded rules. The Spiritual Hierarchy has been accepted by many who study metaphysics, John Yarr talked about them and even referenced them in his book
Damien, one more question following our interesting discussion at https://knowledge.awakeningspirituality.com/p/start-here-double-coil-technology , this time about Elarien.
